For the second successive year the Blues at the Fort site will also be in use on Sunday.
The Fort is going to be taken over for the day by students from the Havant area to run a Music, Arts, Drama and Dance festival they are calling MADD Live This follows on from several previous events including Winter Wonderland and shows at the Kings Theatre Southsea.
The MADD Music Production Company was originally established with the support of Havant Rotary and uses students and Creative and Media teaching staff to run the event. Several members of the Blues at the Fort team are also involved with the schools in a mentoring and assistance role.
This is an exciting innovation in education. providing the students with “real life” practical experience of running a project.
Last years MADD at the Fort event included a guest appearance from X-Factor finalists Same Difference who launched their careers after leaving the Havant Schools, and are keen to assist the next generation of creative talents.
Tickets for MADD Live are being sold through the Federation of Schools, primarily to family and friends of the performers.
