For the first time this year the Blues at the Fort site will also be in use on Sunday.

The Fort is going to be taken over for the day by the Diploma students from the Havant Federation of Schools to run a Music, Arts, Drama and Dance festival they are calling MADD at the Fort.  This follows on from a recent Music Festival they organised at the Kings Theatre Southsea.

The event is supported by the Rotary Club of Havant who  have established a Music Production Company used by the students and the Diploma teaching staff to run the event. Several members of the Blues at the Fort team are also involved with the schools in a mentoring and assistance role.

This is an exciting innovation, it is probably the first time that such an event   has been built into a diploma course  - providing the students with “real life” practical experience of running a project.

The MADD at the Fort event will also include  a guest appearance from X-Factor finalists Same Difference who launched their careers after leaving the Havant Schools, and are keen to assist the next generation of creative talents.

Tickets for Madness at the Fort are being sold through the Federation of Schools, primarily to family and friends of the performers.
